It was a fantastic day of cycling at King Edward as 6 schools took part in our annual Go Ride cycling event.
Forest Way joined us for our morning event and had some great cycling skills. They didn’t let the wind and rain stop them.
Willesley, Packington, New Swannington, Albert Village and Warren Hills were battling it out in the afternoon for the trophy which Willesley 1 won in style with a combined time of 9:59mins. Albert Village came a close second with a combined score of 10:26mins. Willesley 2 completed the top 3 with a combined score of 10:54 mins. Well done to all of our teams for giving it their all.
Congratulations to Forest Way and Willesley for showing respect, determination and self-belief and winning our Spirit of the Games Award.
Good luck to Willesley 1 who will be representing NWL in the Level 3 competition.
A big thank you to the sports leaders from King Edward VII College who managed our teams brilliantly, to Dean from British Cycling who helped with the running of the day and all of the staff that came along to support the pupils!
