hat is the celebration day for?
The celebration day is an opportunity to celebrate what your Ambassadors have achieved so far this year and to learn from other schools and Ambassadors. With the main theme being sharing of ideas and celebrating success.
Event details
Date – Friday 13th June 2025
Time – 9:00am-12:00pm
Location – Whitwick and Coalville Leisure Centre
Target group – Primary Ambassadors
How will this event work?
This event is broken down into 2 sections, a showcase and 2 physical activity sessions.
Showcase
We would really like your Ambassadors to showcase what they have achieved or are going to achieve this academic year. The format will be through show and tell.
Each school will be assigned a space for you to show off:
  • Your ideas for later in the year.
  • What they have achieved this year. Remember this could be anything the ambassadors have helped with, for example, a Christmas themed activity or sport relief.
  • Format, we would recommend either pictures, videos, posters or talking us through their ideas.
  • You will have 10 minutes to set up your table and then we will all explore each school’s area.
Awards
This is not meant to be a competition this is a recognition of your and other schools’ achievements and ambition.
During the showcase we will be asking schools to vote for their top 3 schools for each of the below categories. The school with the most votes will win a prize.
Individual Categories
  1. Student Voice – which school will use/have used student voice the best. Student Voice is about getting feedback and opinions from pupils.
  2. Most Impactful – which schools’ idea will have/has had the biggest impact either as a whole school, or a group of children or an individual. This might be getting the most people to take part or someone non-sporty joining a community club.
  3. Ambassadors choice – whose idea did you like the most, which sounded the most cool or fun. Whose idea will you be trying to do in your school?
  4. Presentation skills – Can you write down 2 things you liked about each school’s presentation?
In the lead up to this event
  • Have a think with your ambassadors, about everything they have done this year or want to do this year.
    • Can you select 1 thing that they would want to tell others about?
  • Think about what you might use for your showcase?
    • Can we make posters to show off our ideas?
    • Do you have any photos or posters that you could bring with you from your event?
    • Did anyone give feedback on the event that we could write down for others to read?
  • Does someone want to talk to people about what we did.
    • Do we maybe want to write down what we want to say before the day?
    • This might include:
      • How did we decide what to do/are going to do?
      • What was the best part of the event/what are we most looking forward too?
      • Who took part, or is going to take part?
The physical activity sessions
After the showcase we are going to reward everyone with the opportunity to take part in some fun activities.
On offer we have:
  • Nerf wars
  • Rock wall – The rock wall has limited spaces so will be on a first come first serves bases. Those who enter first will be given the opportunity of the rock wall.
  • Inflatables
Everyone who attends will be able to take part in 2 practical sessions. We will have SSP staff at each sport to support school staff.
Once the booking window closes we will be in touch to find out your practical session preferences. The booking window will close on the 16th May.
